The Quarantine Purification

The first moments of the quarantine were hard because we suffered with the lack of money. We tried to survive with the saved money we had and the aid from the government. Even with this stress and the fear of the disease, I don’t consider this semester of quarantine a loss. We achieved things in my home and my life that would take a longer time or never would happen.

THE CLEANING!

We made goals for the house in the semester of pandemic. We did a cleaning in a messy room of our house. We found things that we had forgotten, threw most of the things out and finally transformed the room in an organized mess.

We also cleaned a part of the backyard that was full of weeds. The full cleaning took 3 days and I suffered with body ache through a week, so I avoided any heavy physical exercise. But, in the end, it was worth it. Never in my entire time living here, I’ve seen this part of the property so clean. We promise we would never let the weeds grow that big again.

ORGANIZING MY ACADEMIC LIFE!

My classes took a long time to begin, and when they returned they had to be online classes, due to the pandemic. I got scared, because I never studied online, and because of this, I organized a room in my house where my sister and I could study with confort. And then, I finished my debts (backward courses). My university created a special semester to make the adaptation for online classes easier. So, I decided to do the best I could and I got it (with much stress and effort)! I got practically everything that was postponed during my first semesters (there’s only two of them left undone).

I also started an English course. I love the classes and my colleagues. I really enjoy watching the class, that is my favorite among all the classes I’m taking this semester.

So, even with all the worries that we had this semester, I could overcome this situation and make this bad time better.
